I have returned ;) Missed me? Good.
Friday We - Rij ( wrijter), Joren, Pieter, Cynthia, Berber ( speaktothevoid) and I - gathered at Amsterdam Central Station at 10 AM. We arrived at our hostel, the Astor Victoria, at around six-ish, and after unpacking our stuff went to grab something to eat. After dinner, Rij and Joren went back to the hostel, and Berber, Pieter, Cynthia and I decided to go look for the London Eye. Obviously it's a bit hard to find, being giant and all, so we got lost. Cynthia and I had a lot of fun taking touristy pictures with phone boxes and the like.

Eventually we ended up finding the London Eye, but by then it had closed. So we ended up going to the Arcade instead. Yay!

Saturday was AWESOME. After about 2 hours of sleep (and accidentally waking everyone around 5ish because I figured that that tiny bit of light coming in through the windows meant it was morning and thus time to get up and shower), Berber and I went to Camden to shop. Then Berber left to get horribly lost without a working phone while trying to find Joren, Rij, and Cynthia, and I went off to Liverpool Street Station for the AMA meetup. It was pretty easy to find the crazy people, due to Jasna's pink hair ;). So I could repeat what we did, but unknownj's also done that, so I'll just post that link here, if you're interested about reading that :P. http://unknownj.livejournal.com/1726674.html
 Yay picture ;).
It wasn't actually as strange as I thought it would be. I mean, sure, scary people and all that, but.. it was great :D. On the one hand it was pretty awkward, on the other I didn't actually feel uncomfortable or weird. (Also, OMG BRITISH ACCENTS MADE ME GO SQUEEE.) Here's an.. erm.. interesting (or should I say creepy?...) picture of me and Alex ;)

So the Saturday was already a success, and then.. we went to Enigma, Derren Brown's show. Which was amazing. Cynthia actually got called on stage. I'm not supposed to say what happens in the show though, so I won't do that, but it was great fun! :D We waited for Derren after the show, and Berber gave him a present.

Sunday After a much better night, in which I actually slept, Cynthia, Pieter and I headed off to... well, we didn't quite know where. We were just following Cynthia around. So eventually we decided to take the tube to Oxford Circus, and visited some shops. Here's Cynthia doing her Nemo impression.

And then we went to Covent Garden, and after that headed off to Inn the Park in St. James' Park, where we ran into Berber feeding a squirrel.
Then we had afternoon tea. ... I still hate drinking tea. Ew. Ew. EWWW.
But it was fun. ^_^ After that we went back to the hostel - Joren decided to draw a map on my arm of how we got to the metro from St. James' Park: -, and Pieter and Cynthia decided they wanted to go see Blood: the Last Vampire. I decided I wanted to see a bit more of London, and they agreed to come with me instead, for some odd reason. Well, I mean, I'm awesome of course, so it makes sense that they'd want to do that, but yeah... ;) Cytnhia and I spent half the night being crazy and singing a Very Annoying Song. We sat on a bench looking at the Thames for a while, eating terribly gross Mentos. And then we took an enormous detour back, because we were looking for something foodlike. Rij later went to buy us some food, so all was good. ^_~.
Monday After another pretty good night's sleep, I once again took off with only Pieter and Cynthia - I've kind of missed Rij and Berber this weekend. Oh, and Joren too ;P - to Leicester Square, because the others had told us there was a cute shop there. They were right.
After some shopping there, we walked to Covent Garden again and Pieter bought some books. We went into the Build-A-Bear, and Cynthia swore that when she's rich, she'll build a bear and buy all kinds of clothes for it. Then we went off to Camden, because I figured Cynthia might like it. I was right, obviously ;).
And then.. time to go home. :(

So we took the tube to Kings Cross - St Pancras, and got on the train. Did you know it's actually much more comfortable to sit in the seats backwards? .. OK, so maybe I'm just crazy. When we got to Brussels, we found out our train was canceled, so we had to wait for an hour for the next train. So we had some dinner.
Everyone was pretty much deadly tired by now, and taking the next train didn't only mean an hour of waiting at Brussels, it also meant there would be no direct train to Amsterdam, so instead of getting home at around midnight, we arrived back in Amsterdam at 2 AM.
And now, it's time to go to bed. I probably forgot about a million things in this entry, but well.. c'est la vie ;).
